ABOUT ME

My name is Catherine Williams.  I am currently going to school to get my degree in psychology. My long term goal is to complete my PhD in psychology. I would like to teach sex education and do research in human sexual behavior. 

 

I grew up in a conservative home.  My parents did have "the talk" with me and I was allowed to sit in all of the sex education classes given at school.  However, when I became an adult I realized that there were some really large gaps in my knowledge on sex and anatomy.  Once I learned some information, I realized I was not the only one missing it. I decided I really wanted to help people learn.  I also know that this topic makes people uncomfortable.   I am curious to know why and how we can stop being so uncomfortable with the topic.

I realized that with all of the information I am learning it would get lost to me if I didn't start keeping track of it.  This is my attempt to do so.  There will be school papers that I have written.  There will also be things that I wrote just for fun to keep track of what I am learning and where I learned it from.  I will be working hard to keep track of my sources and cite them at the end of each writing.  There will also be entries that I am just writing my opinion and thoughts. 

 

This is all a work in progress.    I am learning and do not have all the answers.  I am working on finding them though.  Thanks for coming on this journey with me.  Please feel free to send me a message if you have questions and I will try to find answers with you.
